It does look marvelous though.

I have fond memories of eating food that McNeil women have prepared. You guys must have a special "good cook" gene. When someone makes zucchini I force myself to eat it and no one would ever know that I didn't like it. It just so happened to be that the clam chowder dinner was made available about an hour before my soccer game and I have made the mistake of eating within the hour of a game and let me tell you: it's not a good thing! When I tasted the clam chowder, I wanted to enjoy it because I knew Giselle was so excited to have made it but I also knew that forcing myself to eat it right before a game was just bad news.

Giselle: Thanks for making the meal and I promise that next time I'll eat whatever it is you make no matter what (as long as it's not too close to an activity that will involve lots of running)Noah Rashetahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04277166650680278788noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447096035330594058.post-86829883752403626392008-10-31T09:35:00.000-07:002008-10-31T09:35:00.000-07:00First- Clam chowder- EW! I guess I'm lucky because Greg always seems to like whatever I make even though I know it's not always sincere. His mom is such a good cook that it's hard to live up to her example in the kitchen. My kids are another story. They totally get their picky-ness from me and aren't afraid to let me know what they don't like. I wish I was strict enough to make them eat everything like Olivia said but sometimes it's just not worth all the drama.Robbinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01198210896825547979noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447096035330594058.post-84758339061773818542008-10-30T22:37:00.000-07:002008-10-30T22:37:00.000-07:00No offense, Giselle, but I am with Noah on this. ...No offense, Giselle, but I am with Noah on this. I HATE clam chowder! I can still remember when I was a girl of 6 or 7 we had clam chowder for dinner one night. I carefully ate my entire bowl while picking out the clams. When I was finished I had nothing but a big spoonful of clams left in my bowl. My dad took one look at it and informed me I would not be getting down from the table until those clams were gone. About an hour later I finally chewed, and chewed, and chewed until those disgusting, cold, clammy, clams were gone. I believe that was the last time I ate clam chowder!!!!!

(Gosh, I wonder where my boys get their dinner issues.)The Gunnerson Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09050171131275348531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447096035330594058.post-35064017794671345672008-10-30T21:29:00.000-07:002008-10-30T21:29:00.000-07:00Oh man I will be down to help finish it up! I guess you have forgotten the rule about eating all of your food. Seriously, though, Patrice and I made the Tony Roma's potato soup the other night because I used to love it when I worked there, and it was exactly as I remembered it. Perhaps you could make that for Noah.McNeil Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08175668600695912162noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447096035330594058.post-28068285428569335422008-10-30T20:49:00.000-07:002008-10-30T20:49:00.000-07:00I just had to post another comment so that everyon...I just had to post another comment so that everyone could see my profile pic. The first time I ever made salmon, I buttered it up just like Mom does, sprinkled parsley all over, broiled it, just like I thought Mom did, and it looked like a masterpiece! Max ate one bite and about gagged! Apparently you're not supposed to leave it covered when you cook it or its completley mush, and it really was gross! He continues to bring that episode up all the time, even though I have proved to be a very good cook otherwise.

I really wish I was there, because I would love to gobble that whole pan up!
