Christmas Spirit

Well, when I got home from school today, I decided it was time to get the Christmas tree set up. I had forgotten how much I like my brown and gold ornaments I got at Tai Pan last year...

I also got started wrapping presents. So far, there are 5 for Noah from me, plus one each for Mia, Jack, Landon, Luke, and Noah G. Oh yeah, and one for me, but it's not wrapped, 'cause it's a big old fabric cutting board thing that was pretty impossible to wrap. Man, Noah is good at picking out exactly what I want, isn't he?

Mom gave me these little votive holders last year...

More Tai Pan goodies from last year...

The "Believe" sign Anissa gave me last year goes perfectly on the shelf in my kitchen. I want photos of everyone's decorations and presents as they go up, okay???

Better Late than Never...right?

This is my beautiful, handsome nephew, Jack. If you haven't already seen them, go to Chelsea and Max's blog and look at the pictures...they are amazing.

Noah and I went down a few weekends ago so we could meet little Jack in person since we had to leave just hours before his birth! I just wanted to hold and hug him and never let go...

We also celebrated Billie Jo and Ellie Jo's birthdays (and it was Patrice's too) while we were there by having dinner at Red Lobster. Ellie decided on crab legs, and boy was she surprised when they came out and she realized there were legs on her plate!

She seems happy now...but after a while I think the crab legs were too much for her. She traded them to Uncle Max and her Dad and ate a little of my salmon.

It was a fun weekend...sorry it took so long to report! I don't have much going on right now...just working my buns off in school. A few more weeks in this semester before I get a break, and begin my FINAL semester before graduation!

I did it, I did it!

I made a flan! We had dinner at our friends' house tonight (yummy--the first time I've had Indian food) and she loves flan, so Noah wanted me to make one. I've never done it before, so I Anissa gave me her oven-baked flan instructions, and I took a stab at it. It ended up really really great!
I'll have to make one for Tim, and anyone else who likes Flan!

New Blog Toy!!!

So in my adventure filled days of flying and working from home I often find myself exploring the web for new gadgets and toys that will make my work related projects easier to manage. One such toy happens to be a flash based message service that I use to have my clients instantly give feedback on whatever project I'm working on and I can reply to that feedback. It works great since I have a project going for clients in Switzerland and Australia and we communicate to each other at such awkward hours of the day.... Long story short; if you scroll down to where we once had our music player going, you'll see a new little application that allows you to call in a voice message and have it instantly available for playback on our blog. It's like leaving comments but in voice messages. It should be fun!!! Try it out and let me know what you think!!!

School Bus Landing

It's been a while since we've updated our blog so I decided to post a fun, interesting story. Yesterday I was flying down to Delta and on our way back we came across an abandoned school bus parked out in a field so of course we decided to land on it. I approached it from behind and hovered right over the top of it and then I slowly brought the helicopter down and landed right on the roof with only a few inches to spare on each side of the skids. It was definitely one of those moments that will go down in my flying experiences...I mean how many people can say they've landed a helicopter on a school bus before! I absolutely love flying helicopters!
