School Bus Landing

It's been a while since we've updated our blog so I decided to post a fun, interesting story. Yesterday I was flying down to Delta and on our way back we came across an abandoned school bus parked out in a field so of course we decided to land on it. I approached it from behind and hovered right over the top of it and then I slowly brought the helicopter down and landed right on the roof with only a few inches to spare on each side of the skids. It was definitely one of those moments that will go down in my flying experiences...I mean how many people can say they've landed a helicopter on a school bus before! I absolutely love flying helicopters!

Nik told me about that! You are crazy. I am glad you survived to tell the tale. Because that is a pretty cool thing to brag about!

Just do not tell Wacey... He would want to do that!! It does sound pretty exciting but not a thing I want my husband doing right now. I am just not going to let you even talk to Wacey or he would be beging me to fly with you.

How cool. I have been on a lot of helicopter rides in my life (more than I can even remember) and I have landed in places that I shouldn't have been able to land, but never on a bus. What a great life it will be doing someting that you absolutely love.

Please start taking your camera with you so you can snap a shot of these incredible things! You will want proof someday -- more than just the memory in your mind! Cool stuff!

Oh that was not an old abandoned bus, the Delta school district just doesn't have very much money. I'll bet there were a lot of scared kids on that bus. Way to go.

Ha ha... that would explain the faint sound of screaming that I thought was just the wind.

Noah-you are way more daring than me! I am pretty impressed that you were able to do that though! It sounds like you are having a blast flying helicopters, but be careful!
Giselle-I will get you Bill's address, we just email him so I will have to ask Dorothy it!

Noah, when are you taking the long fights to LV? The school is right next to our house, so plenty of landing spots here.
