Christmas Preparations

The tree is full! We are ready ready ready for Christmas!!!

I decided to take a few of my favorite shots from our Europe trip and hang them up. I was so proud of myself as I did the whole process myself (except for Noah getting the nails straight) from taking the pictures, editing them in photoshop, making the enlargements, mounting them, and painting and sanding the frames. They're hanging in out kitchen now...the framed photos are below so you can see them better.

The London Eye, London, England

Eiffel Tower, Paris, France

Colosseum, Rome, Italy

Side "street" of the Grand Canal, Venice, Italy

So Giselle... Sucks that you got this crap on your face... Let me just start with telling you to call your doctor and make him call in Bactroban, it's a topical antibiotic... When putting this on, apply it with a q-tip and use a new one for each sore... This spreads pretty easily... You may want to pop them because it will make it feel better but DON'T... If you do, they will scar, I have the scars to prove it.... Another thing that makes them go away a little faster is neosporin, it's just like bactroban so in you can't get that, use the neosporin... While your home just leave it on and let it get kind of goopy then get a tissue and wipe it off... Mine usually last about two weeks, even when I start the antibiotics... If you are like me, you will get them again. The minute that you feel them coming on, start an antibiotic and don't touch or it will spread... Change your pillow case use a different wash cloth every time you need one... It's a huge pain... A dermatologist also thought it was impetigo, but that wasn't it... Just be careful when you get stressed start taking a vitamin B supplement... That can help... If you have any more questions call me... But they suck and I am sorry that you have to deal with them... Oh, and try not to put make up on them, it will make it take longer to heal... Just the topical creams... Call me if you have questions.

Staci, thank you so so much. I actually don't have them on my face...they're on my arms and legs. It is so annoying...I have to sleep like I'm in the tundra--long sleeves and pants tucked into socks, plus change the sheets every couple of days so as to not contaminate Noah. I use a different towel every time I shower or wash the boils with antibacterial soap (2x day), and use only paper towels to wash my hands since I have one on my hand...You are right about one thing for sure--this is a pain!

Thank you so much for the advice on the Bactroban and the Vitamin B. I will try that for sure...I have been doing the neosporin thing, as I figured I could fight the bacteria from the outside, too... Thanks again!

I love the pictures -- they look very professional and maybe I'll get down there during the holidays to actually see the originals hanging in your beautiful home!
