Fun in the Sun!

This weekend we headed down to St George with Nate, Celeste, Justin, and Ali. We stayed in the World Mark Resort and spent a few days relaxing in a little bit warmer weather. We went miniature golfing, and I didn't lose!

The highlight of the trip for me was the "Short and Scary" hike through the crack in DIXIE rock. Crack is correct! All but the girls had to get down and scoot on their sides to make it past the most narrow part, but eventually we were able to work our way sideways up the crack until we found a cool cave on the side and climbed straight up and out the top. It was SO fun!

We spend another couple of hours hanging out on the rocks, climbing and hiking...it really was the highlight of our weekend. It was a beautiful, warm day and we were grateful to be in the sunshine for the weekend.

Great pictures! Looks like you had so much fun! I knew you must be having fun, as when I spoke with you on the phone, Noah, I could hardly hear there was so much laughing and talking going on in the background. Thanks for helping re-install my printer I accidentally deleted!

Your welcome! I'm glad we were able to get it back up and working. Giselle and I want to take everyone to that fun rock hike next time we're all down in St George.

You know you are from Woodland when you consider a January trip to St. George as "fun in the sun". I am glad you had fun this weekend. The "crack" hike is fun. I remember doing it about 11 years ago when Rick and I were dating. I can still remember that when we had finished the metal on the front of Rick's belt was all scratched from rubbing against the rocks.

Glad you had so much fun here in beautiful, sunny Southern Utah! Enjoy this weather while you can--it will soon be 100+ degrees!

I am so jealous that you went somewhere with no snow... I am so ready for summer. Glad you had fun!

Gunnerson family...it's true, St George was still chilly. I wore a jacket 95% of the time. Only mid day while we were hiking and I had on a black shirt was I warm enough to take off my jacket. However, I did say "fun in the sun" and not "fun in the warm," right? But I'll never deny being from Woodland anyway!
