Finally!!! My instrument rating!

After a very long wait I was finally able to complete my test on Thursday. I passed and I am now officially an instrument rated helicopter pilot! The FAA examiner was very pleased with my test and told me several times that my approaches were very solid. For the past several months I have been flying "under the hood" wearing a vision restricting device that allows me to only see the instrument panel and not see outside the aircraft. I wanted to show you a picture of what I've been seeing every time I flown since about November of last year. I'm so excited to finally be able to see outside when I fly!!!

Good work, Noah. Giselle mentioned that this has NOT been your favorite part of your training, so I am so happy for you that you are finished and can move onto something a little more enjoyable! Keep up hard work.
