A Bunch of Turkeys

Thanksgiving this year was really fun! We had dinner at Nik and Anissa's house with their family and with Nate and Celeste. But dinner was jut a small part of our day...

We started off the morning with the Mesa Turkey Trot! Noah and Nik ran the 10k, Anissa and Robyn ran the 2 mile, and I ran the 1 mile...I definitely would have run the 2 mile, but I haven't been running at all since moving here...it was a good choice, as it was fun and not too hard.

Me finishing my fun run...
Robyn and Anissa en route...
Anissa crossing the finish line...
Robyn at the finish line...

The boys almost at the end of their 6 miles...
Nik and Noah crossing the finish line...
All the turkey trotters!
Thanks to Nik and Anissa and Nate and Celeste for being our family this year for Thanksgiving! We had amazing food and lots of fun together. Happy Thanksgiving everyone...

How fun! Our first and ONLY year away, we were in Colorado Springs. We had barely moved there and didn't know anyone. I cooked the whole dinner for Dad, Rob, Billie Jo and myself--just as if I were cooking for the entire Bisel family! Yes, we had many, many leftovers for a long, long time. It is wonderful to have friends, family and loved ones to spend a special day with. I'm glad you have Nik, Anissa, Nate and Celeste. I'm glad you did the turkey trot too--that sounds fun--for a warm place! It was nice here on Thanksdgiving--chilly and a bit breezy, but pleasant. We all met at the cemetery at 12:30 and sang "Because I Have Been Given Much" and had family prayer. It was very nice. Georgia had placed a pointsettia, so it was bright and beautiful. On to Christmas -- and being able to see you!

Wow that turkey trot was great. It's too bad that you guys didn't stick around to see Nate and I finish the 26 miles, but what-ev! No hard feelings. J/K I almost didn't want to say j/k so people would actually think we did it!! Ha Ha, me run, that is just too funny. We loved spending time with you guys and we are grateful to have you as our family here.

Are pregnant people supposed to run? My kind of pregnancy involved NO movement whatsoever.

I am also impressed that you ran as well. I stopped working out the day I found out I was pregnant! Glad you had a fun Thanksgiving.

Way to go! I thought about getting up for a little exercise before the big eating day, but instead I woke up at 3:30 am to go shopping to get the BEST surprise present ever. I am glad you had such a fun day. I am thankful for you two!!!!
